  Monks’ promenade

  The Monks’ promenade starts within the arcades of the Monastery, feeling the silence of the cloister and the sound of the Monsatery’s water spring. It goes along the terraces crossing the green and the shadow of the Alvarinho vineyards until the fascinating fountain of spring waters, where the Monastery Monks used to drink, write and meditate in the shadow of the shed roof. From the charming Monk’s fountain go down to the enchanting and restful environment in the half-light of the bamboo garden to conclude the promenade, you can relax and have a drink at the “Eira” esplanade by the granary (“Espigueiro”).
